Estimator
The Estimator is responsible for estimating the cost of a project. This
includes the cost of steel plates, subcontract work, detailing, shop
labor, shop overhead, general and administrative overhead, erection,
profit, etc. to bid or negotiate work. This position must understand and
be able to explain the cost variances between actual project cost and
estimated costs. Mathematical and statistical skills are used daily in
this position to evaluate data.
